Under Law No. 65 of 2024 on Patents, Indonesia has introduced a new compliance obligation for patent holders through Article 20A. Patent holders are now required to submit an annual Patent Working Statement confirming that their patents are being implemented in Indonesia. The Patent Working Statement must be submitted annually to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), no later than the end of each year of the patent’s term of protection.
